The Committee seeks an unpaid intern per semester to support the work of this small, rapidly changing office. Individuals who wish to gain a wide range of hands-on experience in trade, finance, development, and the current international economic issues within inter-governmental institutions are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and management of Committee conferences and events;
- Help to prepare the Committee’s internal and external communication tools, including the quarterly newsletter and member communications,
- Research key topics of interest, including. relevant legislative issues as pertain to the work of the Committee
- Support outreach and cultivation of current and prospective Committee members
- Assist in maintaining Committee website;
- Support the daily administrative tasks of the office, and
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or recent graduate in advanced undergraduate or graduate studies in business, non-profit management, international affairs, political science, economics, or related fields.
- Previous office experience.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills in English. Foreign language skills, particularly French or Spanish, a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of MS-Office, including Access, Word Press (or other blog software). Basic HTML also helpful.
