Asia's emerging economies entered the new year with a strong manufacturing recovery firmly in place, new data show, adding to pressure on regional authorities to consider pulling back some stimulus policies.
Purchasing managers' indexes for China, India, South Korea and Taiwan, all released Monday, show continued expansion of manufacturing in December.
The surveys have registered industrial growth for nine or 10 straight months in many Asian countries, which have been leading the weaker recovery in the U.S. and Europe.
