Nevertheless, reports the Pew Center for the People and the Press, Americans are feeling more positive about free trade. By a 44% to 35% margin, Americans said that free-trade agreements are good for the country, according to a poll of 3,013 adults conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates. That’s almost precisely the opposite of a year ago, when the survey found that Americans by a 48% to 35% margin said that the deals were bad for America.
