Preexisting shortcomings found in the international financial and security architecture have only been exacerbated by the Ukraine-Russia war. Emerging weaknesses in these arrangements – which exist to promote economic prosperity and maintain peaceful coexistence among nations – have become apparent in modern global issues affecting climate change, public health, and trade & finance. In this closing panel of IC22, Nancy Lee, Joaquim Levy, Hung Tran, Axel Weber, and Emily Slater discussed the role of multilateralism and how to redefine it through global governance reform.
