On June 16, BWC Chair Bill Dudley will join Mark Sobel, US Chairman of OMFIF, to discuss the June FOMC meeting. Their conversation will cover the outlook for monetary policy and the Fed’s handling of it, the impact of inflation, the labour market, digital currency, the central bank’s dual mandate and concerns surrounding financial stability. Ellen Meade, former Senior Adviser in the division of monetary affairs and Special Adviser to the Board (Vice Chair Clarida) of the Federal Reserve will contribute to the discussion of near-term policy regarding the rate path, the expected economic conditions, what policy makers want to see from the data before they slow the pace of tightening and what the markets want to see.
