Bio

Dr. Aniket Shah has spent his career at the intersection of business, academia and international institutions. 

Aniket is a Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor at the Columbia University Center on Sustainable Investment, where he leads the organization's efforts on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investment research in the public and private sectors.

From 2019-2021, Aniket was the Head of Sustainability and ESG Research - Americas at UBS. Previously, Aniket was the Head of Sustainable Investing at Oppenheimer Funds. In this role, he was responsible for integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investment principles throughout the firm’s investment strategies. 

From 2014-2017, Aniket was the Program Leader of the Financing for Sustainable Development Initiative at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. In this capacity, he advised various governments, international financial institutions and asset owners on sustainable finance issues around the world. 

Previously, Aniket worked at Investec Asset Management and the Earth Institute at Columbia University.

Aniket serves on the International Board of Amnesty International, and previously served as the Chair of the Board of Amnesty International USA from 2017-2018. He is a member of the World Wildlife Fund USA National Advisory Council and The Economic Club of New York. He is a graduate of Yale College and the University of Oxford.
