Panel Discussion: Crypto Assets Oversight: Where Do We Stand?
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM WEST
Location: Off-site Location, Ministry of Finance
Crypto regulation was a key agenda of the G20 summit. While regulations and a framework have yet to be finalized, consensus emerged that a blanket ban was not feasible. The joint declaration noted that the G20 will continue to “closely monitor the risks of the fast-paced developments in the cryptoasset ecosystem,” and the leaders endorsed the Financial Stability Board’s (FSB’s) “high-level recommendations for the regulation, supervision and oversight of crypto-assets activities and markets and of global stablecoin arrangements.”

Supporting Morocco
We hope the BWC community will consider supporting Moroccan earthquake victims and relief efforts. Consider donating to the High Atlas Foundation’s campaign – a local organization providing immediate relief and long-term support to the most affected communities in Morocco. Or consider donating to international relief efforts such as CARE. Current and former IMF employees can contribute through the Fund’s direct campaign as well.
