In this educational podcast from the BWC, Nancy Jacklin, longtime BWC member and former US Executive Director of the IMF, sits down with experts for the benefit of non-experts interested in the Bretton Woods Institutions and other IFIs because of their educational pursuits, employment, or just their curiosity.  In this way we hope to increase knowledge of, and support for the institutions - which is at the heart of our own mission. 

The series explains the origins of the various institutions created to coordinate international monetary and economic affairs,  why they are needed, how they have evolved, and how they get things done. This explanation will have three distinct parts: the international monetary system, global development, and trade.

About the Host: Nancy Jacklin

Nancy previously served as the United States Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund. She also worked as a Partner at Clifford Chance, LLP in New York where she was an advisor on international finance and financial regulation issues. Prior to that, she worked at Citibank N.A. as Sector Counsel and Associate General Counsel. In addition, from May 1982 until January 1985, Nancy served as Assistant General Counsel for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and as an attorney at the US Treasury from 1973-1982. Nancy was also a Professorial Lecturer at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies from 2007-2014. She is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and the Georgetown University Law Center.
