Spring Summit

The Bretton Woods Committee’s Spring Summit assembles Committee members and additional corporate, government, and multilateral leaders with top speakers in Washington, DC at the time of the Spring World Bank/International Monetary Fund Meetings to discuss a shared response to a range of global challenges.

Since 1983, the Spring Summit has remained a distinguished forum in which to debate and discuss the most effective ways to promote global financial stability and prosperity, combat poverty, and increase economic opportunities worldwide through the international financial institutions. The Spring Summit seeks to:

  • Explore collaborative ways to increase multilateral cooperation and deepen the impact of economic development
  • Educate members and the public about key developments at the IFIs
  • Demonstrate the enduring constituency of support for international economic cooperation and strong, effective Bretton Woods institutions as forces for global well-being
